Co-owners Rick Stocking and Jim Schoenfelder have 50-plus years of experience in the electrical contracting industry. They formed 1st Electric Contractors in 2002 with a commitment to sustaining lasting relationships with customers.

Stocking has worked since 1980 in the metro-Denver market and holds State of Colorado Journeyman License #6244. He's a graduate of the State of Colorado Recognized Apprenticeship Program and is trained in Project Management and is Structured Wiring Certified. He is experienced in residential, commercial and industrial work, is a Design Build Project Engineer, and has been a Project Manager, in estimating and sales, a Multi-Family Division Manager, and has supervised 165 employees.

Schoenfelder also worked in the electrical contracting industry in metro-Denver since 1981 starting as an apprentice/journeyman/field foreman and working his way up to construction and sales manager for a company employing more than 300 electricians. He holds State of Colorado Masters License #3712, is AGC-OSHA 10-hour Competent Person Certified, McCormick, TRF, and Con-Est Estimating Systems Certified, and completed NECA Project Management & Supervision and NECA Field Supervision courses. He also completed the IEC Apprenticeship Training Program.
